A COMPETITIVE ALPINE RACE PROGRAM

Snowboarders Ages 8-13   (Birth Years 2013-2018)

26/27 LOTTERY IS OPEN FROM SEPTEMBER 4 TO SEPTEMBER 18

Team Mission: To develop skilled and passionate skiers through fun training days and a competitive alpine racing environment.

Interclub is a competitive race development program that builds on the fundamental skiing skills developed in the DSquad program. Athletes receive excellent coaching while refining their Giant Slalom skills and being introduced to the foundations of slalom racing.
Participants compete in Interclub races against other ski teams throughout the Berkshires, providing a fun and exciting racing experience in a competitive environment.

Interclub is a more demanding program than DSquad and requires an increased commitment of both time and recourses. Athletes are expected to attend most of the 14 training sessions and races throughout the season. To help prepare for the racing season, athletes are also encourages to participate in all three days of the Holiday Camp (additional fee) over winter break.

Interclub members, along with participants from DSquad and Mountain Division, will have the opportunity to try out for the Mohawk Mountain Alpine Race Team in February.

All new Interclub participants who have not previously participated in DSquad or Mountain Division, must successfully complete Chairlift Rookie Training prior to the start of the program. During this complimentary 20-minute session, a Snowsports Pro will ensure your child can safely use the Arrowhead Chair independently, including loading, unloading, and lowering the safety bar without assistance.

To schedule your child’s Chairlift Rookie Training session, please call the Snowsports Discovery Center at (860) 672-6100 ext. 136.

Completion of Chairlift Rookie Training is required before the first day of Interclub. Participants who have not completed the training will not be permitted to participate in the program. If you are unable to commit to completing Chairlift Rookie Training before the program begins, please do not register your child for Interclub.
