Snowsports
JOB SUMMARY:
The Mohawk Mountain Snowsports Director will represent the Snowsports Discovery Center (SDC) to customers and employees and will provide the highest possible customer service. He/she will be responsible for day to day supervising of the Snowsports Discovery Center and will provide support for SDC staff. The Snowsports Director will ensure the continuing training of SDC staff. He/she will provide leadership and direction for the SDC, with the goal of providing the best possible learning environment for clients and their families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Seek out, Interview, and Hire qualified staff
- Train staff to a high level
- Determines staff assignments and schedules
- Provides communications with staff and customers as necessary
- Provides supervisory roles for children’s programs and other areas as needed
- Develops program goals
- Develops training goals and strategies to help develop instructing staff
- Ensures the quality of instruction and uses all available resources to promote the continued education of the teaching staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Snowsports Supervisor is responsible for training and mentoring instructors by setting an example following all policies and procedures, being approachable, and sharing knowledge with coworkers. This individual is responsible for overseeing the on hill operations of all daily and school group lessons under the direction of the Snowsports Directors. She/he will assist with the organization of group lessons, including the checking in and out of participants, communication with instructors and parents, and ensuring the safety of all parties involved. Supervisors may occasionally teach lessons based on the needs of the Snowsports Department. Reports to the Snowsports Directors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years experience supervising/managing programs
- Is able to effectively communicate with customers

The Snowsports Customer Service Specialist focuses on the sales side of delivery of Snowsports lessons. The SDC CSS will be responsible for operating a point of sale (POS) in the lodge to assist customers as needed. JOB SUMMARY:
The main goal of the parking lot attendant is to safely park customers vehicles evenly in rows to maximize the usable space in the parking lot and maintain roadways and fire lanes to structures. They are the first line of staff that the customer encounters and are responsible for setting the tone of the day with positivity and a willingness to help direct customers to the appropriate location (rentals, ticketing, retail shop, cafeteria, snowsports, etc.)
- This is a great opportunity to pick up a second job and ski for free!
- The shifts are primarily weekends and holidays, from approximately 7:45a to 2p-4p beginning in Late November.
- The majority of the shift is spent outdoors and on your feet, adequate footwear and warm clothing are a must for this position.
- Parking staff is also responsible for assisting with mountain opening, including shoveling walkways, salting, and placing directional markers in the lot as well as any other task as directed by the Mountain Operations Manager.

This is a physically demanding job. This position is an overnight shift from 7PM to 7AM. Snow will be made on an as needed basis, to start the season snow makers may be scheduled for work every day/night while temperatures allow production.
This position allows for overtime hours as well as a complete employee benefit package. Snow makers will receive preferential placement in department of their choosing when snowmaking has finished for the season.

Lift Operations

To oversee and assist in the on/off loading of passengers of all tramways, lifts or tows.
Duties Performed: (Not limited to) Assume responsible charge of the tramway, lift or tow. Assign and supervise all attendants on your tramway, lift or tow. Maintain an operational log book. Maintain orderly passenger traffic conditions within your area. Advise and assist passengers as required. Advise Shift Supervisor of any condition or occurrence which adversely affects safety and operation. Any and all work directed by the Lift Manager/Shift Supervisor. JOB SUMMARY:
Workshop Techs will be trained and certified to identify and set bindings from our list of indemnified bindings for Daily, Seasonal and Retail equipment. Workshop Techs will be trained to use our in-house computer system for work orders, customer accounts, equipment testing records and more. Workshop Techs will also be trained to mount, maintain, service and repair ski and snowboard bindings. Workshop Techs will be trained to hand and machine tune/maintain, ski and snowboard, edges and bases. Use of common hand tools (files, hammer/mallet, screwdrivers, etc) and less common hand tools (iron, rasps, scrappers, etc) will be used on a daily basis for tuning, repairing and maintaining equipment. Use of power tools (drills, scraper sharpener, base welder, etc) and machinery (stone/base grinder, edger, waxer, etc) will also be used on a daily basis for tuning, repairing and maintaining equipment.. Experienced at identifying & resolving issues with equipment.
Assisting guests with Workshop related tasks is the primary responsibility of Workshop Techs, but helping guests with “Boot Only” rentals is their responsibility as well. Being the most knowledgeable and proficient ski technicians, Workshop Techs will also be working in the Tech Shop, as needed, depending on staffing and customer needs.
In addition, and/or as needed or directed by the Manager: snow/ice removal, light replacement, vacuuming, trash removal, lodge table arrangement, and clean up. Restock brochures and collateral materials. Follow telephone procedure and operation. Customer service for questions, and directions. Train additional employees as needed. Any and all work directed by the Rental Department Manager and/or Supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RSPONSIBILITIES:

Mohawk Mountain is currently recruiting for Expediters in the Rental Shop. Expediters provide an incredibly valuable service to Mohawk Mountain guests, by professionally and competently fitting them in equipment while simultaneously welcoming them, and providing them with information and service to guarantee an excellent experience.
Expediters will fit ski and snowboard boots from our Retail, Season Rental and Daily equipment for each customer; fit each customer with poles from our Daily Equipment, and fit each customer who has requested and paid for helmets from our Daily Equipment. Familiarity with the location and description of each level of equipment will be expected and each Rental Expediter will be trained to successfully fit our customers.
In addition, or as needed or directed by Manager and/or Supervisor: snow/ice removal, light replacement, vacuuming, trash removal, lodge table arrangement, and clean up. The Snow Tubing Operations Supervisor will be responsible for running the day to day operations of the Snow Tubing department at Mohawk Mountain. The Snow Tubing Operations Supervisor will be present during all operational hours of the Snow Tubing area and until all guests have left the area. Snow Tubing Operations Supervisor will lead by example, setting the standard for providing an outstanding customer experience through professionalism, extensive training and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF SNOW TUBING OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR:

Mohawk Mountain is looking for experienced patrollers to join and help lead our ski patrol staff. If you have experience as a National Ski Patrol member patroller and would like to help lead a fantastic team of dedicated patrollers, let Mohawk Mountain be your home this winter. Paid Patrollers are supported by a volunteer core of NSP certified staff that make up our Ski Patrol team. Paid Patrollers provide leadership and accountability to on call volunteers during their shift. Paid and Volunteer Patrollers work together to maintain and respond to mountain safety issues. In addition to being first responders to any medical issues at or on Mohawk Mountain, patrollers also provide assistance in setting boundary fencing, closing and opening trails, and providing customer service and information to our guests. Paid Patrollers report to the Ski Patrol Director and Mountain Management. We are looking for Patrollers to fill day, night, and weekend shifts.
