What’s the word on helmets?
The use of helmets by skiers or snowboarders is a personal decision best made by each participant or their parents/guardian.
Deciding about helmets requires education about their benefits and limitations and evaluation of the ability and characteristics of each individual skier/snowboarder. Click here to visit Lids on Kids, a great resource for gathering the information you need to make an informed decision.
Mohawk Mountain encourages responsible behavior on our slopes, including the personal decision to use a properly fitted helmet. The best defenses against injury are to understand the inherent risks of skiing and snowboarding, to use common sense and to adhere to “Your Responsibility Code” and the Connecticut Law.
